Starting November 16 and throughout the winter I will be offering a SoupScription – a homemade soup and bread subscription. Here’s what it looks like:
1) Breads. Instead of baking 120 loaves of 5-6 different kinds of bread once a week, I will make smaller batched of 10-20 loaves (1-2 kinds at a time) three times a week, on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
2) Soups. To go with my bread, on the same days I will be making and offering to you gourmet organic and, to the extent possible, local soups – vegetarian, vegan, meat, chicken or fish, depending on what’s available and good any given week. I anticipate a greater selection of breads and a wonderful variety of soups from around the world this winter: making smaller batches will allow me to experiment and come up with new recipes and ideas.
3) Menu. The menus will be posted on my Home page about a week in advance. I will also, at least at the beginning until some sort of a routine is established, be sending out menus via my mailing list which you can join by writing to breadnik@gmail.com.
Since my capacity is limited, the food will be available on a “first come, first served” basis, so I recommend that you preorder your food as soon as possible to make sure you get it.

4) Ordering. If you are interested in a particular soup/bread combination (or any soup or bread separately) you should e-mail me and, upon receipt of my confirmation, we will arrange for your pickup. As of now I don’t have the capacity to automatically take orders via this website but I am hoping to get there in the next few months. Since my capacity is limited the food will be available on a “first come, first served” basis, so I recommend that you preorder your food as early as possible to make sure you’re in. I will be happy to take any standing orders to save you extra trouble (which will be more like a true subscription).
5) Pickup. The pickup location will be at our Gotta farm in Akron at 1666 Cuyahoga Street (See Google Maps). I expect to have the food available for pickup from about noon untill 6-7 p.m.
6) Packaging. The soups will be packaged into 32 oz. containers and will be provided to you chilled, to prevent spoilage while in transit. However, if you want it hot for your lunch I am always willing to accommodate, just let me know. You can also freeze most of my soups for future use.
As usual, I am always open to any requests, ideas and feedback. Just drop me a line at breadnik@gmail.com.
